I use specially cast original spec Cellulose Acetate Butyrate (CAB), commonly known as butyrate bobbins and M55, Long pattern A5 Bar magnets, made just for me, these are key to a good vintage “open and articulate” PAF Humbucker

All parts are custom commissioned or imported from the USA and the highest quality, true to the original GIBSON pickups and personally hand built right here in Sydney.

This intensive hand building and testing program limits production to a few sets per day.  I generally build my “faux” PAFs to the historically best regarded and open sounding output of between 7.50k and 8.35
